Was there anyone else on the ballot those years? There was this year.

Funny, the media said that Obama was the Second Coming. The Divine One. The Chosen One. The Perfect One. He got the lowest turn out of incumbent votes.

Nobody of significance. Every incumbent listed ran basically unopposed with the exception of fringe same party challengers like Bill Weld against Trump. There were actually 4 people on the Republican primary ticket last night. Trump, Bill Weld, Mary Matthews and Joe Walsh...not the My Maserati does 185 Joe Walsh.
He had huge support in Iowa too.
His base is fired up and the thought of a communist on the Dem ticket is gonna fuel a landslide.
Collateral damage will be Aunt Nancy getting sat in the corner again.

Apparently American ain't tired of winning yet.

Also, Bill Weld got around 9,000 votes which roughly coincides with the never Trump level within the party. He has 93ish% Republican approval.

So I'm thinking its gonna have to be Sanders and Bloomberg....one of those 2 will get the nod. There's no way they'll let BootyCheese through, and Pocahontas already lost it a while ago.

If indeed there are some behind the scenes forces conspiring to keep Colonel Sanders out of it then it looks to me like Bloomberg is gonna get the nod.

IDK about that. What MiniMike is trying to do hasn't been done before. We'll see if money can buy the office. Watch him announce a VP with a big name.

Type "Bloomberg" in the search box at the upper right of your screen, then check the box to search thread titles only.

I stand behind that prediction and we're fvcked if I'm right.

Maybe. MiniMike is an authoritarian at heart, so he may be the conduit to revive the tree of liberty. Not all bad, in the long run.

So, I can't help thinking Bloomberg is using the Trump methodology. Spend lots of money, don't toe the entire party line, be a little populist, get the nomination. Dem heads are going to explode if this gets to be the narrative.

Trump didn't spend lots of money. Less than half of Killdabeast if I remember correctly.
You can tell the Dems are concerned about him. New videos are surfacing daily.

I don’t know if Bloomtwat’s campaign mangler is a fucktard or a genius.

Having endorsements from Michael Douglas and John Mellencamp won’t bring in the D voters.

But it might siphon off the Never Trumpers and the mushy middle, and the OMB zealots might come along for the ride.

Still don’t think he has a prayer, but the strategy is curious.

:stupid: Yep, when ever some liberal socialist dems starts spouting off how Trump and Republicans bought the election, they are reminded that Trump spent far less, I think @1/2 of what Hillary did. Clearly winning elections is not just about money as this exact same dynamic of a lesser funded candidate winning happens frequently.

I actually think it was close to 1/3 of what the wicked witch spent now that I've thought about it.
That, of course, excludes the amount Putin chipped in!

Don't know how much he'll need to spend this time, but Nancy's impeachment fiasco supercharged Rep fund raising and he has a giant warchest right now.

You forgot to add in the cost of buying votes...clearly makes the Dem's cost double or even triple.

Trump spent his money wisely, he employed Russians who gave him the win using
a handful of Facebook ads. Incredibly efficient, those Russians.
