I am rebuilding 2012 R6 calipers with new pistons and seals.

It looks like the dust seal has a very slight flare on one side. Anyone know if that flare should be on the fluid side or the pad side of the piston?

    Thanks

Pics? I don’t remember a lip. Is it on the ID or OD?

    TWF2 2 heads are better than 1

Wider side should be on the pad side.

In the "Lip-side" pic you can see a bit of a crease that follows the curvature of the seal, that crease is the start of the flare that angles towards the camera.

It's hard to see unless you look closely with good light.

Thanks Zoran, I bought the R6-750 adapters from you last week, perfect fit!

Is it like the dust seal on your forks? The lip goes outward.
