There I was, innocently reading this thread and wondering how two supposedly grown men could put so much time and effort into arguing about nothing. Then I came across this heretical statement. Consider yourself the recipient of a virtual white glove across the face!
Meh, I didn’t state anything that wasn’t accurate. Just because the other party refuses to accept it, doesn’t make it an argument.
Yes, it was that Superstock race. Yates looked to have an insurmountable lead over Young when they took the white flag, but Blake really dug in and closed the gap. It was kind of funny to see that final drive up the hill. Yates was looking over his right shoulder to see where Young was while Young passed him on the left on the narrowest piece of tarmac imaginable.
The race at Road America, where young came from dead last to beat Hayes is what I will always remember him for. He rode in anger, 'twas fun to watch.
Wasn't that Road Atlanta? My memory is a bit fuzzy on that, but didn't he crash, make the restart at the back row and go on to win?
If I remember correctly, he laid in the track long enough to force a red flag. When it came out, he sprang to his feet, ready to race. Between that and his slow bike theatrics, I was not a fan.
Your definition of over the edge isn't even close to getting out of bed each morning. LOL. It's all good.
