Finally figured out how to get this sign apart....

Just gonna replace everything with a 110 setup. 4' fluroescent or stickly tape LED's i guess.

Lol. A little pneumatic cutoff wheel was way too slow.....my electric ryobi 4" grinder/cutoff wheel was missing a center ring so the disc wasn't centered....so yeah, here came the stihl saw.
    That sign is all aluminum.

With the back off of it, i still can't figure out how in the hell it comes apart. Doesn't matter now.
I'll put hinges on the back panel so at least it will be easily accessible in the future.

Trying to source out the lights/ballasts is the next issue.

Looks like a standard 20A industrial plug but larger

You could have just changed the 3 ballasts to ones that use a 120V line. Or even used a single ballast good for 3 or 4 bulbs.

At this point, I'd go with ballast-bypass LED tubes and just wire it for 120V.

BTW: If it had fluorescent tubes and starters in it, there WAS a way in without cutting it apart.

I cut thru the small bulb/fixture on the end. So that was fubr'd.

Good tip on the 'ballast-bypass' LED. I was wanting to go 'ballast free'.

Aprilia must make a 'special' tool out of Italy to be able to take this apart. It seems after the ballasts/lights were riveted on the back panel, the rest of the 'box' was pressed together and 'invisible' welds were used. I've pulled on the ends, rubber mallet, pried on the front mesh screen, nada.

Since this was a dealer sign, i'd say after it's 5 yr bulb life was up, they threw it out and just got new.
