Come on Chaos you need to try it Muay Thai rules... I went for 5 weeks (Dec 2014-Jan 2015) for a training camp down south in Phuket. You need to go, and stay away from the hustle and bussle of Bangkok. Well... maybe not stay away but if you have the time, go South. Have a safe trip P.S. My deepest simpathies for all your issues Buddy !
I remember the event was delayed because an ambulance had to leave and was not onsite. Then I found out someone crashed in the pits on the way to tech and had a head injury and maybe broken ribs or collar bone if I remember correctly. Was maybe 3 years ago.
Marble staircase? Jesus. Had a buddy bite it coming out the back of his trailer on a cinderblock step. He's fine but, well, still stupid.
We’ve been in the south for the past week, stayed in Railay and Ko Lanta for a few days each. Spent a few days on scooters on quiet roads which gave us a taste of the driving style. Heading back up to Chang Mai today and taking off into the hills on motos. I plan to wear my full gear and I know it will be too hot!
Yep. My most painful crash since I started riding bikes has been this year at CMP...in the paddock...on my scooter. My weekend was over before I even got a chance to turn a lap.
Checking out that TMT website makes me want to do this trip some day. Sounds like a lot of fun and the price is pretty damn good for an all inclusive deal.
We just finished up a private off-road tour with Colin Edwards and some of his friends. Epic is the only word to describe it! Colin said it was the best time he's ever had on two wheels that wasn't in MotoGP... I think we have a solid on-road and off-road tour for anyone wanting to experience Northern Thailand in the best way possible...on a bike!
