I did not realize it either. But, we're still racing these bikes and I figured I'd get more racer-oriented info here than in an SV forum. The reason I asked is because I figured it it made the forks more resistant to bending, I'd consider giving them a go. Like I said, I really don't want to burn through a few sets of fork tubes per season because of minor crashes (like had happened this season.)
A friend use to race a 2nd gen SV in local regional racing. He use to brake very late and very hard. His bike had a fork brace that came from a shop called Adjustment Tech Racing in Peterborough Ontario (705)749-6477. He said that the bike was super stable with the brace.
