I only knew of him as the guy who built the Tularis. Didn't know anything about his background. Holy shit, he's behind the mass damper in F1?! I think I'm experiencing man-love right now. Thanks for posting.
Which is funny, as the Tularis vibrated like a mother. So much so, that put the rider's hands to sleep in relatively short order. Got to see it at Blackhawk once, and it SOUNDED like it would shake your fillings out.
Met him once; I believe it was at Daytona - a dinner with fellow geeks from the roadrace mailing list. Early 2000's or late 90's.
For anyone more interested in the Tul-aris, there is a document put together by one of the guys who helped work on it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CK-M3o8Sx57OdVNiq9SvGtrmjKSrI9DB/view
Perhaps this explains the appearance of the 'salad box' on the tail section a couple of years ago.....
Having Rob helping is about the best you are ever going to do. The guy is amazing. I didn't know he was working with Ducati now but this explains their sudden competitive chassis. Just put Rob on the task and it will happen! The guy who put this together and some of the other people on the Tularis project are brilliant as well.
We had a TZ750 at Brainerd in June and it sounded amazing at Wot dwon the straight. I cant imagine the Tularis.
