I’d about bet on it. Thought they set a new one last year, may be mistaken though. It all depends on how well tires last and what they stick everyone on. Went and looked. Cameron went a 23.5 last year setting a new record. If there is that much grip I’m thinking high 21’s.
Gotta think the track record will fall, although it'll be interesting to see how sensitive the grip is with the temperature. Used to be great grip on a cooler day with the previous pavement.
When the place opened it ate front tires like crazy and it took a good 4 or 5 years to mellow that pavement. If they used the same blend in the repave you may see shorten races. IMO it's been very good for tires and lap times since 2010. But y'all will see soon.
Dumas 1st /Barney 2nd /Murray 3rd. Jackson very close 4th. Turner will probably set the fastest lap of the race. Parrish and Draik will do the Waltz and then open mouth full tongue make out in Parc Ferme. Draik "finishes" first.
It’s hard to pick anyone in the Stock 1000. May and Mesa are the only ones in the class!! These guys are clearly the best. Who else is even racing? 600. Wow. I would think it’s all Fong. But PJ is on fire. Dumas will be champ when it’s said and done. Superbike? No clue. Cam?
No one wants to throw dark horse Kaleb DeKryel in the mix for Twins? He did a number on the field at Laguna. Heard he was riding as well
Superbike: Gerloff / Gerloff. Toni and Cam scrapping for 2nd and 3rd, with Toni coming out on top. He seems better at head games than Cam. Scholtz as my dark horse. He is bad fast around there, the bike is working better, and I think the new surface will level the playing field with the electronic strategies. SuperStock: Fong / PJ. Fong takes the championship. Gillim a close third. Twins: Dumas / Dumas. Blackmon and Kaleb up there too (need to check the entry list). I see the same picks for Twins Cup - which always seems to fall along who people are friends with, but none of them look close to Dumas. Not only is he a tick faster he can do it all race. SSTK: Lee. May and Ventura for the challenge.
pretty sure Kaleb podiumed a stock 600 race there some years back.. Dude can roll there. But pullin for Barnes in the twins show
I agree. Things seem to be pointing in this direction. A.little pressure was put on Yosh last round as well. We shall see.
