Garrett will be tough there, that is pretty much his home track and he has been on a roll. My money is on Fong in the 600’s Hard to bet against Rocco in Junior Cup May will be tough as will Stefano in SuperStock. My money is on Kris, Barney and Parrish to be on the box in Twins. All of them have turned a lot of really fast laps there.
The ORIGINAL twins class was The Battle Of The Twins class in the late 70's, and early 80's. A place for European, and American, superbikes to run competitively, once the Japanese got their shit together and made 4 cyl Superbikes work.
Rooting for PJ but having to win both is a tough assignment. I think Toni turns it around to hang on. Watching Twins for the fireworks.
I heard on the GW Podcast that Dunlop is bringing the medium and hard compounds based on the testing they did on the new surface and do not expect to be needing pitstops.
Good luck to all the Twins racers. Put on another awesome race and show. Wish I could be there, but we are 2 races out of an American Flat Track Championship so I am unfortunately not able to come play with yall! Im not even going to guess who takes the win but I hope to see a 5 rider battle!!! Parrish Turner Murray Dumas Barney
Curious to see how the big bikes do with tire wear, as well as what they use for a Q. Word is the current Q wouldn't last a full lap with full grip.
Anyone think we might see a new lap record? How far off is Beaubier/Elias/Gerloff like last year? Doesn’t Mladin or Spies have it from like 2008??
Hard to say. Right now you can't even get a rear tire to spin on a SBK. I'd like to think there will be 2-3 guys under the lap record with a new surface....but will the velcro surface be harder to deal with on corner exit not being able to spin?
