I stopped listening when 7 of the 12 “songs” were just weird noises. Does this one follow that formula? When they actually do play their instruments and sing words though Tool is pretty kick ass.
I need to give each song a bit more time, but Pneuma and Fear Inoculum were both solid for me. With many of the songs seeming to have 5 minutes of filler and 10 minute run times, I don’t know if it’s an album I’ll listen to all that often. Right now, certainly doesn’t seem like there’s any classics like Parabol(a), Schism, Aenema, Disposition, Vicarious, The Pot, Etc. Not sure if MJK just can’t sing like he used to or what.
Maynard? All that comes up is this: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2018/jun/28/maynard-james-keenan-claim-denial-tool-singer-latest
I thought he was tapping Milla Jojovich. Though she could probably convert anyone who wasn't solidly gay, at least for a taste.
It's official...you like really bad music. I'd probably agree with you on a lot of other topics....but music ain't never ever gonna happen.
I was hoping for more, not a continuation of 10,000 Days. Over all it's OK. Would've like more than 7 tracks after a 13 year wait. I wonder if they're going to slowly release stuff from these sessions. The limited edition CD case with the video screen is prettyl amazing and the album art is wicked.
Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. I have a VERY diverse catalog of music I like...but not Tool, Rush or Pink Floyd...that's for damned sure. Maybe I've never been drunk enough to "see" the talent....If I gotta be stoned to "see" it, then it's definitely not going to happen.
Dude doesn’t like Tool, you think there’s a chance in hell Danish satanic metal is gonna tickle his pickle?
