While looking around over at Honda's motorcycle website to see what V4s they still had I came across this: https://powersports.honda.com/street/touring/nm4 Not a V4 but it's like looking at RRW.com and finding a photo of Bigfoot riding the loch ness monster. WTF is it?
No. I remember it was in a response to a question to a Honda rep about bringing back the Interceptors.
Mr. Grasso of Black & Gray has one of those elusive V4s, that and a pretty nice Honda collection, to boot.
I believe/read somewheres the first VFR's (700 & 750) were essentially hand assembled, basically at a loss, to avoid the shit bomb on Honda's reputation that was the VF750.
Didn't somebody race one of these street RC213's at IOMTT or maybe another road race? IIRC it didn't do so well.
One of the reasons suzuki stated for the I4 motogp bike is so tech developed would go to their street bikes. I guess they forgot about the cross plane crank.... Damn shame because they sound so sexy.
Please tell me he or someone else took that thing on the track and flogged it before it got mothballed.
I owned a V45 Sabre ('83 as best as I can remember). It was a difficult engine to maintain. I know, it's ancient by today's standards, but it was a HEAVY lump and had to be pulled to do anything other than oil changes.
