I dig it. So many of the OG’s bash the thing, without considering it was never meant to be a duplicate. Times have have changed, especially with emission certifications and restraints. If it weren’t based on another bike, most likely, it wouldn’t exist at all.
If you were searching for something recent, that could be the problem. This is not exactly a fresh scoop.
I didn’t like the styling of the original and the new one isn’t any better. Maybe they were on a mission to make something uglier than the Kawasaki Z900... Seems like they did.
If they do build it I hope they spec it better than the recent 1000 GSX-F. I think one local dealer still has a 2016 marked down to $5Kish. The smaller, aluminum framed, 750 version sold better.
even a choked down modern engine would still outrun the old version... plus the surrounding components are 100% better...lol The old one was a terrible rider unless you liked droning on super slabs.
I knew that when I saw this on the local paper that it had to be old news, hence the pre-search prior to posting. I indeed didn't go back far enough. They've been promising this thing for a while now, it isn't to Honda Superbike level but still!

I think, black is where it’s at. Do the Samurai Pack with red decals and it’d be pretty sweet. Then, hit the Yosh catalog.
