Some lost bets of yesteryear...

 

Sadly, the picture I was looking for (McFadden being chased by Arkle) seems to be lost forever.

(unless we can get Vicki Sulpy @Photo_Chick to find it for us).

But he is just a relative newcomer. He's only been at it for a couple years.

Meh...we've had that happen on the same page.

 

The second and third pictures (which I took) were not lost bets. Both pictures were taken during LRRS' "Ms Match", an annual all woman race
held to benefit the Karen Hornbecker Racer Relief Fund. In the second picture, the guy in the blue shirt was the "gender judge", whose job it was
to make sure no men snuck into the race. I believe #949 manged to slip by and started the race.
The third picture was one of the umbrella boys who volunteered to throw some shade over the ladies on pre grid.

 

The guy with the blue shirt in the first picture looks handicapped.
