That gets said a lot in our meetings, because the rigs are on a day rate of several hundred thousand per day. Everything is time sensitive. You don’t want to hold people up unnecessarily. If it isn’t something the whole room needs to hear/comment on, then the necessary parties will “take it offline”.
You people are thinking too small. You just make shit up, throw it out to the clones and see what comes back. I watched some vietnam war movie and ran with that last time: "We need to di di mau, pull the pin, kick in the door and toss is in."
I'm surprised no one else said this already....probably because its too obvious but: "We really need to be thinking more outside the box on this one."
My current office favorite is "It's not broken. You just aren't smart enough to operate it." Mostly because it jut got me pulled into the CEO's office. Apparently you can think it you just can't say it out loud while sitting at a conference table with the rest of the employees.
