I love the guy, however, even his recent statements point to that thought. Didn't he recently say that the Yamaha is in fact competitive based upon what the other riders were doing. That seems like him saying that maybe he is not what he once was.
But still slower than his teammate who doesn't deserve to have factory-equivalent machinery. But would he do that, just make the call mid-season like that. I get the feeling he'd want to do a proper farewell season tour and be done at the end of 2020.
Literally less than a week ago, Rossi was the top Yamaha rider by a pretty comfortable margin. Today, there are calls for his retirement. Gotta love beeb logic!
I want to watch, but honestly it’s hard to even care when the story is that Marquez will win the plurality of remaining races, and wrap up #6 early enough that he could go hang out in Ibiza for a month and then come back and demoralize everyone at Valencia.
