Sorry, should have clarified. Frontier took over Fios down here. Completely disappeared from my guide in the last couple of days. Then I found info about the drop here. https://www.multichannel.com/
Just got to watching as I've been on the road all day. That qualifying performance by Marc was for the ages. Stunning.
That lap was truly GOAT stuff. The whole grid is like what the ..... I thought it was funny when he got out of it then back on the line. It was going to slow Rins down. But Rins wasn't having all that.
It's pretty sketchy 10 minutes prior to the start. small section of track soaked, the rest it's a dry sunny sunday! Let's ratchet up the pre-start tension
Does anyone know definitively why tracks don’t jet dry these few wet areas to speed up the drying process?
Update - race delayed. Back to the pits, restart proceeding (new sighting lap, new warmup lap), estimated at 5-10 minutes delay.
Depends on the track and where the jet dryer is stationed and how long it takes to fire it up and get it on track. A lot of the time it's just better/faster to let mother nature handle it.
I’d be hovering the dang media helicopters over turn 1. They’d dry the track 10 times faster than what those beemers can do.
I think the safety cars need to move to the right to dry out the entire starting grid , not just the left hand side which appears to be pretty dry already . The bikes on the left will have a huge advantage.
