Thinking about a future trip with the fam, during warm weather.

Looking for suggestions on where to stay. Cabins? Resorts?

    Boat rentals?

Any other suggestions are welcome too.

    Thanks

I'll have to check out the areas when I get on my computer, but we did some greats hikes while we were there. It is a really neat place. We just stayed at a motel but I'll airbnb next time. Hit the casinos too but my kids are over 18.

I stayed at North Tahoe many years ago.. Hyatt I think? It was the only Hotel Casino on that side of the lake.. I rented a Mountain Bike and took the Bus everyday to Spooner National Park I think? Great mountain biking and great views of the lake and others you can’t see from Tahoe.. Trail ended up going through the Bonanza Hollywood set too If I am not mistaken.. Also rode bikes to Squaw Valley CA from there too.. cool ride along the river. Went waterskiing/barefooting on the Tahoe lake.. Even in July that water was cold as shit... be prepared.. great week.. I need to get back there...

Go down to Minden NV and get a ride/lesson in a glider. It's one of the best places in the world for gliding.

There is a really nice new running trail on north lake NV side. All of it’s cool. Waters really cold. All snow melt and yes as someone else said it’s full right now.

I always crash at friend's place in Truckee or Tahoe City. Tons of outdoors stuff to do there, hikes, swim, paddleboard etc. Beautiful area, I try to hit it a couple times per summer.

Damn I’ll be watching this. GF and I have had it on our short list for awhile, something else always ends up winning out. I still wanna go.

    How’s the fishing?

It's deep, my brother in law has a cabin there, they troll with wire line for lake trout, I prefer a down rigger and lighter line. They usually get a few a day.
Lots to do there, hiking, biking, sailing, water skiing, kayaking, etc.... Oh and there's gambling too. :)

Eagle.Lake in Lassen County, near Susanville has amazing trout. It's a special subspecies only found here.
Avg is 5-6 lbs record is like 10lbs or more.
They fight like an ocean game fish. Few hours from Tahoe

Or go up into some streams and fish for brown or golden trout.

It's amazing up there...too bad ite kn Kommifornia....:(
