AStars Supertech R Boot Zipper replacement

My Alpinestars Supertech R boot zipper failed. I need to have the zipper replaced. My local leather guy quoted me $200, with no guarantee.
I’m in the wrong business and need to know how to sew zippers into boots. Must be rocket surgery.

I’m going to see what AStars charges.

I wanted something more robust.

Anybody have experience with a zipper replacement on the se boots.

Advice?
Cost?

I’m never buying a bolt with a zipper again.

had one put in a dianese boot 3-4 yrs ago it was like 5o bucks, go to a shoe repair place if you can find one they are few and far between

 

I imagine @barnacle bill can do boots as well as leathers.

Which means you are buying Daytonas ($$$) or Sidi and the plastic adjusters on those never fail! LOL

Shout out to Ryan and his team. They repaired both zippers, replaced the laces and toe sliders. The turnaround was only a week, maximum. I love my Supertechs for comfort and now, service.
