No proof? I said I didn't have a "SOURCE" meaning a link to cite........you don't think Liberalism is behind all these Confederate related items being torn down? You don't think Liberalism is behind the misinformation about slavery in America?

Misinformation about slavery? What in the world are you talking about? Be specific for once please. And don't even start on the stupid reparations that not one single sensible person of any race is supporting.

As for this mythical liberalism being behind things. Some of it sure. But now I have to ask - what is wrong with tearing down monuments that were put up by racists for racist reasons? That isn't debatable on a ton of these things, it's historical fact. For things like the Peace Memorial here in the ATL being damaged - that is stupid people, they have no political ideology, they just want to tear shit up. Same as the majority of rioters, they're looking for an excuse to break shit and steal things. They don't have the slightest clue about politics. A lot of the other ones are stupid to remove and are people caving to political pressure, nothing remotely new or different there.

But they are protected from responsibility for the content
on their platform SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CONTROL IT.

    YET THEY ARE CONTROLLING IT.
    They admit that.

They can't have it both ways.
Remove their federally-granted legal protections and I'm fine with letting
    them do whatever they want.

Ah, now you are talking about removing their special protections. I am fine with that, as that should have been none of the Federal Government's business in the first place.

Keep in mind that it may in the end stifle some of the new conservative or "freedom of all speech" sites trying to get started. One good powerful lawsuit and that start up is toast.

I choose to allow you to post your stupid on here. That is not the same things as me making up that stupid or agreeing with that stupid. I could remove your stupid and leave other stupid and that would not mean I agree or promote that stupid over yours, could simple be in how your stupid is worded. It would also not mean I am responsible for the content of either of the stupids.

If those protections were removed then I could be sued and would be 100% responsible for all of the shit Mike and others post here. That's all the protections really cover.

It is a collectivist urge to save the little people since the overlords know best. For all the whining about Trump being a dictator EVERY Democrat running has more urge to be a dictator as it is part of their progressive mentality to rule.

So you want to use government power to regulate these leftist social media companies because they don’t agree with you? That’s a leftist fascist position in itself. You must not believe in the market. If they indeed are actively suppressing conservative voices, then either another more tolerant company will eat the lunch of the big players or the disaffected will create their own platforms. Jordan Peterson’s platform, which I didn’t even know about is obviously a response.

Our only goal should be to make sure that these companies like Google and Facebook can’t permanently entrench themselves and prevent competitors from arising. IE: regular old anti trust.

I’m amazed at the way so called conservatives want to use government power to stifle companies and people they don’t agree with. That’s exactly what the left wing nut jobs do.

If the market is allowed to function without a bunch of government retards intervening “for your own good”, it’ll all sort itself out.

The good thing is that the business cycle operates much faster than before. They’ll all be disrupted soon.

RE: Peterson’s platform. It’s great that he’s making one, but the problems we see on other social media will happen there once or if it scales. Then Peterson and co will have to use the same tactics Facebook et al do to constrain bad actors and it’ll end up looking roughly the same. The only way convergent evolution won’t happen on his platform is if it doesn’t scale.

I love all the woke companies :D

Rather than freaking out over all the stupid shit they're doing I'm truly enjoying it all. It is hilarious.

Actually Sean, there are similarities today to pre, and post, WWI. In fact, just about every Socialist and Communist governed country gets it's start the same way. For example, what our dear friend Adolph preached in the late thirties sounded like good ideas to the masses so he was elected as Chancellor as a result. Of course, once he had the power of that position he completely jumped off the tracks and became a more obvious nut job.
Today we have people like Bernie to watch out for. He says a lot of things, and has a lot of ideas, that many people like to hear. Free this, free that, unicorns and roses prevail all around and the dumb sob just might end up in the white house. Not likely, but possible. Just saying.

Bernie's hero is Lenin, not Hitler though both were mass murderers.
While I'm on it, what do Lenin, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, Che, Castro, Kim Jong Un have in common? Hint, blood and lots of it on their hands. Sorry if I left some of the favorite Commies off the list....I've been drinking. How in the hell could anyone hold any of these tyrants up as a role model?

So what are the similarities to post WWI/pre WWII Germany that could remotely lead to the Nazis taking over?

Bernie is not even close to preaching to the masses. Hell he isn't even preaching to a majority of people with student loans. He is preaching to a small subset of idiots who were too stupid to figure out you can't take a decade to get a degree never having a job living totally on loans and then at the end you have a degree that will not get you a job other than as a barista. Those people love Bernie. The tens if not hundreds of thousands who have paid back their loans don't like Bernie. Those who worked through school don't like Bernie. The overwhelming vast majority of people don't like Bernie.

Bernie has not the remotest shot in hell of ever reaching the White House. He is nothing more than a side show. I truly don't get why people think he has even a remote shot.
