Founded the band Jane's Addiction. Had one decent album and two memorable singles you may have heard. Got heavy rotation on MTV with one of them. Before that they were sort of interesting but not selling out stadiums. Famous in L.A. I dated a chick in high school who listened to them. She had orange hair in the 90's. Started Lollapalooza with good intentions. Turned into another self absorbed hollyweirdo when it became lucrative. Thinks he had far more impact on music then he did. Dave Navarro was a founding member of the band. Also Red Hot Chilli Pepper's least interesting guitarist imo. Like Perry, he thinks he had a greater impact on music than he did. Still a very successful individual in music and film on his own. He was in Sons of Anarchy in fact. At least he's better looking than Perry.
Janes I've heard of, not bad overall. Navarro I've heard of but probably for his out of industry stuff like who he was banging
Yeah, from the looks of it, the face behind it expired and was replaced by some sort of hybrid cantaloupe.
Jane's had a few good albums. Strays was the last one I liked. The Great Escape Artist sucked imo. Navarro sounded good with them but was not as good as Frusciante in RHCP. And Lawd does Farrel look like a puppet in that pic ! His face sucks as much as DaveK.
I think he was a horrible fit with the Chili peppers. Changed their sound way too much and a totally different band. Then again I don't really like the RHCP all that much. They are not the level of suck of RUSH but not too far away.
I thought PF died of aids years ago honestly. And RHCP has sucked balls since forever..........entertaining in Thrashin',but that was it.
Dave Navarro also has a tattoo show, Inkmasters or something like like that...his fit into RHCP was as bad as replacing RATM singer (Zack Dela Rocha) with Sam Kinison or Gilbert Gottfried.
Funny thing about Navarro’s time with RHCP was the reported hazing he took from the rest of the band when he joined. Don’t think he was into performing in a cock sock. I’m sure the paycheck made it all worth it.
