Damn, what a "race". I'm no MM fan, but he's clearly the Alien of Aliens right now. Which is why it's such a gut punch when incidents like today's happen. Could have actually had a nice battle up front (or maybe not)....but to watch it get pissed away and MM rides off into the sunset is not so fun.

 

Dovizioso has an uncanny ability for getting taken out by crashing riders. It's amazing. If someone crashes anywhere near and behind him, he's going down too.

 

I'd argue that had Dovi not been parked mid corner, Lorenzo would've made a clean pass and everything would've been OK. Neither was too hot.

Never mind that Marquez was block passing Dovi at the same time? Argue all you want, Lorenzo profusely apologized for letting his ambition outweigh his 2019 mid-pack talent.

In all honesty, Lorenzo looked to want to overtake Vinales only, but when Marquez block passed Dovi and Dovi seemed to want to do a cutback, Lorenzo found Dovi in front of him(at a much slower pace) than he anticipated and had nowhere to go because. So did Vinales who had to go wide too because he was about to fly into Dovi as well. Watch the replay and look at Vinales trajectory because of Dovi's slow line.


The repercussions seem to not fit the crime, but what happened happened. When two different riders are overtaking two different riders at the same corner, someone usually goes down.
