Anyone have a suggestion on who makes awesome 2T pipes in the States? Specifically, I'm trying to get a set copied in titanium that I will already have in a month or so. I can't seem to get ahold of Mark Dent, I dunno anyone else by name that has that kind of reputation for quality.

Before you come off the coin for Ti, you may wish to consult someone with experience
designing and using pipes with various materials (if you have not already done so) e.g.
Turfrey. I personally steer clear of stiff materials such as Ti. The springy/soft nature of mild steel
provides the best resonances IMHO. I've seen aluminum chambers work great initially, then lose
power dramatically due to work hardening with heat cycles. Same reason carbon (if it would theoretically
withstand the heat without melting the resin) would make super trick but awful performing pipes lmao
just my 2c, good luck with your project regardless !

at least you're honest up front haha

noted. there's a bajillion dudes with ti pipes. its worth it for this one. plus i'll still keep the steel as backup regardless.

thanks man, didn't think to ask him. i will. also, PM coming your way.

i've asked LED previously, they want the bike/motor there and also won't do titanium. Hall... i'm having my other problems already. AAEN i guess i could always ask. i'll go thru that list some more tho.

here's the current. just waiting on one other part to be finished in the batch of an order they're coming to me in. then i want to modify the angle of the mufflers slightly on the steel ones, then they'll be ready to copy:

i had a no-fairing pic of that bike as my desktop background for like 2 years a few years back. the whole thing is just so good. SuperSic's RSA250 though... taking the cake currently.

Jeff Henise with Highwayman cycles has build some beautiful pipes out of some exotic materials, he also definitely knows his stuff when it comes to pipe design.

Gary Braun with Retrodyne is who build my pipe for my vintage bike. He does great work, but I'm not sure if he has much experience with exotic materials.

It took me a while to actually get in touch with Mark Dent. Until he knows that you are serious, and not just wasting his time, he is not really interested. Once you have his attention, he is not difficult to deal with. It's just that step 1 can be a real PITA until you break through in comms. I have never seen the level of quality on a set of pipes, other than on factory GP bikes. They are THAT good and are worth the $$$.

I'm sure you've tried, but just in case: [email protected]

I don't know if he still uses this email or not: [email protected]

    Good luck !!!

i'll try again i guess when the time is closer. i have his radiator already and we've communicated before, which was why i was like... why isn't he responding. I'm gonna wait until things start coming together, mock up the steel ones and modify them to fit right, then ask.
