I didn't say it was a perfect system; there is no perfect system.
What we have has worked better than what exists in other places.

 

Unfortunately, it takes a 1%-er to even be able to campaign for President cuz permit fees to do so amount to more than $1M from all the States...or, you better be one charismatic motherfucker.
I'm sure securing an influential congressional district is no easy financial feat, either, let alone a Senatorial seat.
I still always say voting is the answer, too...until it's not.
