Me too. If Bautista could pull off something similar (in addition to smoking the WSBK field this year), his street cred would go through the roof.
It looks like he going to have his hands full this round in WSBK. Even Sykes might be able to keep up through the shorty "Qualifying" race.
Bautista will win all 3 again. There's nothing Kawi can bring to the table this season against that bike. Is BMW bringing a new engine to the bike this round?
PFFT. Bautista's .7 back in Practice 2, he's dogging it. When it counts, he'll turn up the wick and disappear. He still has 1500 rpm on the Kawasakis, don't forget.
If Bautista is sandbagging, he’s really, really good at it. Rea was turning in a series of laps in the mid to low 46’s, while Bautista had a flyer here and there. I really prefer the season to be decided in the final race.
Could this be the race that breaks the streak? Is AB intentionally sandbagging so the Duc doesn't get penalized?
Not surprising that AB taking some time to get up to speed. This is his first event ever @ Imola, according to crash.net article on qualifying.
Nobody wrote him off dude, majority of those folks were just stating the fact that he got his dick slapped by newcomer Bautista and it won't be so easy for him to win championship as it was last few years. Good ride from Rea, and good ride from Bautista especially being first time at this track.
Heck yeah it was. I suspect he will be 10th next race even if there aren’t any dnf ‘s in front of him.
