Well, the china bombs got me. Ive had two blowouts and one spare and im at 49 and 360 near Burkeville VA. Anyone nearby with a spare or two? Ill venmo money.
I’m sorry, I can’t help you. But, Maxxis M8008 are known to be solid, reliable trailer tires. I’ve had their 225/75-15, 10-ply, on my trailer for over 45K miles, with no issues. https://www.maxxis.com/catalog/tire-122-129-st-radial-m8008
I’m running the above size on my 7’X12’. I had to install spacers to gain some inside clearance. However, they offer an 8-ply, “D” load range tire in your size.
Make sure your tire shop installs thread-in, metal valve stems. They can support 80psi inflation pressures and don’t blow out like pull-thru, rubber stems.
Thank you, Turbo. Worse comes to worse is it’ll stay in a yard and ill come down with the maxxis tires and have the shop mount the new ones when they come.
Try walmart too. If you have a 3500# axle it should 5x4.25, thats te same as a Wrangler or Cherokee up to ‘06 (Believe it or not)
Interesting! So the plan appears to be a tow to a yard, stay over night and they can get tires in the morning. Could be worse, could be over turned in a ditch somewheres. Thanks all for the help!
Thanks Ross. As luck would have it the guy is coming from where i had to go anyway. So it’ll save me time and distance, about an hours drive. Kinda workin out.
One last thing: Make sure they balance them, so you don’t have unbalanced tires beating up your trailer, suspension, and cargo. This situation shows there are some good people around this board. I’m glad it’s all working out for you.
Wal-Mart had complete wheel/tire combos in trailer tires the last time I got stuck leaving Jennings with 2 tires that were separating.
