    Exactly. Once you have the HP a modern literbike is making, acceleration times up to 125mph (what they're testing here) will be more determined by the quality of electronic aids (launch control etc.) and rider skill (luck?) in getting in a good run. None of these bikes are probably drastically different geometrically, and will lift the wheel with ease upon hard acceleration through the first few gears...........the real limiting factor for acceleration performance.

    Start doing real lap/sector time tests and you'll certainly start to see the advantages of some bikes over others.

    The roll on times are clearly interesting, as that makes it more about the motor. That BMW is certainly fast there and the mid-range on that bike 4-8k rpm appears to be stellar.

    Notice the Aprillia had a slip-on or full Akra while the Ducati still had the stock exhaust.....
