I picked up this SV from Snellenberger last year with every intention of racing LWT. Try as I might I just couldn't gel with the bike. I'd like to sell as an entire turnkey package to an aspiring racer, all the work is done, just gas and go racing. I've done all of two track days on the bike and it ran perfect. I suppose I should clarify "gel". Nothing wrong with the bike at all, it's me. Just couldn't get comfortable at 6'7". Seat to peg is just an inch too short and raising the seat just makes the bars to low and raising the bars and the seat just raises the CG and so on and so on... Decided to stick with the Buell. If someone is interested in just the bike I'm asking $4300 and we can negotiate any parts package.
Hell bring your stuff to the national round or the TD on the Friday before I let you try a set of my Vortex rearsets.
Interesting, I'll have to check out the Vortex rearsets. I didn't see how I could get lower pegs without losing ground clearance, unless they are substantially narrower.
Sorry for the late replies, I haven't been checking this thread since there was zero interest initially. Since the above conversation and Jake loaning me half a vortex set to try out I put a set of vortex on the bike and took it to Grattan Sunday - wow what a difference, you guys were right. This is a bike I can now ride and was about to get in touch with Hord about a winter update when I saw this thread. So on to the questions. 1. No thanks, not interested in a GSXR. 2. Don't really know. I can say I've put two track days on it, but I'd have to get in touch with Sam to find out the last time Twistit updated the engine. 3. If someone wants to take the whole package for $5300 (now including brand new vortex & used woodcraft rear sets) I'll let it go. Otherwise I'm going to race it next year. Oh, and if I don't reply to a question, send me a PM so I know to check.
Back up for sale. I tried the Vortex rearsets and mounted woodcraft 1.5" rise clip-ons, just couldn't gel with the ergos.
