REIT's- anyone invested in one?

Thinking about leaning this way. I have a meeting with my financial guy coming up, but I want a bit more info before talking with him.

What do you see as to the pros and cons of REIT's? (real estate investment trusts for those wondering)

What brokers do you use for your REIT investment/s? Are you happy with the performance?

 

Understand public vs private. If private, liquidity will be one of your biggest talking points.
