    Good Lord.

World wide I would say in the thousands with 100s of millions of people. Not only arrested but murdered and killed solely based on their beliefs. But Bernie is somehow considered unique in this to you.

Bernie’s a hero, he’s such a genuinely stand up person. He’s been arrested for his beliefs.

I believe he wants what is truly best for Bernie. And he believes that somehow the country will also benefit. But I doubt he's looked into that very deeply. Or much cares.

1963? He did it for the nookie. A lot of stupid in the 60s was preponderated for that reason.

    You need to pay attention.
He seemed like a great guy to the majority of the millions of German population.
Hitler wasn’t political? His motives and actions were driven by a majority of his politics.

You are the one who made the statement that You like Bernie as a person. So then you must know him. Right?
Point being, you’re deluded in believing a person can be separated from their political and core beliefs, which you are trying to do with Bernie.

So please tell us all. How do you know Bernie?

You can't separate a person from their politics?

It's telling to admire a person who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, hung around with Castro, supported murdering communist dictators in Venezuela and everywhere else. I mean, what's not to like about a guy who admires the murderers of over 200 million people? Bernie's college writings are full of things likeable.

Why don’t you tell us how?

But that’s not him as a person. That’s not who he is or what he believes in or how he acts.
That’s just his political beliefs. Completely separate.

He's either totally oblivious or truly stupid, both are scary.

That's like separating a person from their religious beliefs - if they're truly held you cannot separate them. If they're not truly held then you have to take that kind of pandering into account.

I'm curious for the Bernie fans - did he ever backtrack when it became obvious that Castro was a dictator and not for the good of the people? Or was he like the other idiots still running around in Che shirts? I get at the time thinking (given a lack of data) that Castro was better than Batista but what about after that? Or did he concentrate on the illiteracy rate dropping and totally ignore the killings?

Strange thing is I think Obama is a pretty decent guy in this respect. I think he treats his wife well and dotes on his daughters as a good father should. As a neighbor he would likely be pretty decent. However he is a socialist or worse at heart and dangerous to my freedoms, therefore was a HUGE @#$# NO! Trump is kind of the opposite on that front, he is a louse as a person but fairly decent on screwing up my freedoms (by doing a minimum). He has disappointed on illegal immigration but then he has either tried or paid lip service to it which is FAR more than any other candidate would have done. In the meantime 1 million people ignore our laws and steal from us by sucking up resources or worse.

Agree on the family stuff, he seems to be a good husband and dad.

Actually I think that is good. I can separate the person from their politics and/or religion but there are limits. If for an extreme example you support Idi Amin then yep I dislike you. If you support mandatory sacks over all women as part of your religion, yep not friends. But in general it is pretty easy to separate the two for me.

Not for me. If you are a socialist you are in favor of destroying the USA. No separation for me with this. Liberals are a close second.

But what about those who just truly want to help those who need help and think that's what socialism means? Personally I forgive it in teens and up to a certain point in college age but not at all once you're out in the real world paying your own bills.

Willful ignorance I guess. How anyone, with today’s internet and ability to conduct some basic research, can honestly believe that socialism is a good thing for the mass population - they have to be ignoring both the reality and the history of the evils of socialism. If someone wants to truly help someone in need, you know as well as I do, there are several avenues available outside of proposing that socialism is the answer.

Don’t get me started with the so called “adults” who support this crap. It’s typically associated with union laborers and to an extent public workers, who seem to think they are invaluable to society and are entitled above and beyond what the fair market provides. They in turn, seem to indoctrinate their children with the same polluted thought process.
I have zero patience with neither.

I'll never forget when my son graduated high school, the girl giving her valedictorian speech reflected on the things she learned in high school. "and I learned that Fidel Castro was actually a pretty cool guy!".

Actually, if Hitler had been successfully assassinated by Bavaud (sp?) or Esler in '38 or '39 respectively, he'd be remembered by history as one of the greatest statesmen ever.
