So how is this even remotely legal? What next, every time a state doesn't like a candidate they add new requirements to try and keep them out? Stupid ass liberals. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...00&jumpTo=comment-406731015#comment-406731015
There may be some truth to it. Read an interesting stat about the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Seems the Repubs love this country even during the Obama years while Dems have rarely favored it. Repubs: 2018 72% , 2013 67%. Dems 2018 29%, 2013 38%. Yeah, yeah, save your typing on the insignificance of polling.
If the methane caused by their decomposing wouldn't contribute to global warming, I'd say reducing their carbon emissions via suffocation would benefit the planet greatly.
Yeah but I can't see a state law being allowed to remove a candidate for any reason when federal law doesn't.
They're not removing one. They're denying ballot access unless conditions A-Z are satisfied. A bit worse than a poll tax or requiring a voter to prove residency and eligibility, no?
Same net effect - they are denying a federally approved candidate for a federal position from being on the ballot. Can't see that ever flying and like I said I think there has to be something limiting their control over the ballot or there are other times the states would have nuked certain candidates. Interesting to think about. Might have to look into it if I get bored enough
I wonder what the media reaction would be if a state denied ballot access to all who register as democrat, green or socialist. OK, yeah, I don't wonder at all.
Or even all registered republicans. They flip the hell out. They'd be flipping the hell out over this if it were anyone but OMB. Rightfully so. It's as stupid as people still bitching about Obamas grades.
A state still cannot override the constitution as it defines the requirements for POTUS eligibility. Still requiring the tax returns is a sticky gray area. What are you going to do with them?
