I’d let the authorities handle it. If he has a history of fraud this can easily be taken care of by then. You may not get your money in a timely manner but sounds like you won’t anyways. This is a felony I think. If it was a single screw up ok but with his history I don’t have a lot of sympathy for him. Well none actually.

Looks like I may have gotten paid back, refund is “pending”

 

"Pending" the seller having enough funds in the acct to cover the refund. He's likely aware of how it works and is still playing the system to look better or calm things down. If those funds actually show up in your paypal account get that shit out of there. If your paypal account is linked to your bank account you may still have lingering problems.

 

Case isnt closed until that money is in your account. Please keep us advised.

 

Linking PayPal to your bank account should be a complete no brainer as to what not to do, right up there with signing over the title to your bike before it's fully paid for.
I'm not quite sure on the details, yet, but somebody I know just had their bank account cleaned out. Not sure if their PayPal account got hacked or what.
