Ya he’s supposedly a real racer #871 and his FB profile matches. I’ve talked to him on the phone and he’s sent me multiple photos but I made the mistake of not using the right PayPal forum

I met him a couple of times in the pits at Blackhawk. He kept coming over to our pit with questions for Ed Key and Guy Bartz. He seemed like he was pretending to know what he was talking about but also seemed like he was fishing for secret tuner stuff. I didn't care for him much, then but I wasn't running an SV so he was insignificant to me, just seemed a little slimey at the time. After he would go away, Ed and Guy never mentioned him, just kinda pretended he didn't exist as if they didn't want people to think they were friends with him.

    An astute observation Ken.

The weekend Jason, Anthony, Tim and I met you at that WERA Blackhawk event was the weekend the motor he "built" let go on the first practice session. Tim took it home and took it apart and found that none of the parts (except the Carillo rods - no BS -) were in the motor.

    badda bing!!

Still out my money or engine, not a freaking dime back from him.

    Ben is a thief.

At one point years ago I was willing to believe it was more "overwhelmed kid trying to make it in the race biz" - but at this point, knowing there were quite a few others he scammed, and sounding like it continues today, let's call a spade a spade.

Oh - don't forget - a cheater at the track also.

At this point I would call the PD in the city he's in and file charges. IF they don't want to, contact the DA there.

i've seen scams, sellers ghosting, excuses, blaming the buyer, apologies... but i don't recall ever seeing a dude respond to you that he just doesn't feel like sending your paid for item any more. the world never ceases to amaze.
