Hi All, this thread is for anyone tracking an '18 Ninja 400. What are you doing to clear up any of the OEM clutch issues or pro-actively taking steps to not have any. I know both SPEARS & FactoryPro have shift detent springs plus SPEARS has a beefier clutch cable return spring. Any other tips and/or tricks or products that help? Thanks in advance...Paul

Adding a spring to the clutch cable return arm seems to be the way to fix the clutch issues. Other than that I hear Graves is selling Suter clutches for the 400. I'm sure they aren't cheap but have a lot of adjustability.

The standard clutch is designed by the factory to have a light lever feel and the clutch hub ramps adds pressure to the plates on acceleration. You really can't fix this properly for racing. The aftermarket racing slipper clutch is the proper way to go for racing.
