Did one particular team have prior access that the others didn’t or didnsone teams adapt sooner than the others?

 

rumor was that some riders were already using a setup that worked ok for the new tire. so they required fewer and/or smaller changes to get it working well. other riders had to throw the kitchen sink at the problem.

 

The trap speed difference between the yamaha and suzuki is crazy. Yamaha has to be thinking of going away from the crossplane if this keeps up.

 

I wish they would, I’ve been a die hard r1 fan since 98 and when the whole crossplain came out it was very disappointing to me. I do love the look of the 09/14 but smooth power is not what I want. I prefer the standard inline 4 flat plain and the more aggressive the better. Now once they are up over 200hp at the rear wheel maybe the crossplain would be ok. I even like the sound better of the traditional flatplain inline.

 

Gotta admit I love the sound of the R1. Much better than the vee fo Dookati.
