I think we are all f*cked...

In the past year we have seen a marked increase in bat shit crazy product returns. The most common one being "I dident realize the bike dident come with the product" (this is a copy and paste form the return request, my spelling is not even close to that bad). Being a proactive dude I decided to update the listings for the products we have seen this issue reoccur. I started with a little photoshop work on the product image...

then I added a little note to the product description...

THIS LISTING IS FOR AN EXHAUST SYSTEM ONLY, YOU DON'T GET THE WHOLE FUCKING MOTORCYCLE!

I think we may need to shoot a video as well.

So someone legit though the entire bike came with the exhaust? The world we live in is amazing.. everyone trying to catch someone out. Give me a break.

More than once man, this is actually a real problem that has us wasting both time and money.

 

There are some truly stupid people in this world.

About 10 years ago, I was dealing with someone who is a well known fast WERA racer, to trade my 03 Chev dually for his gsxr1000. He wanted ~$7-8k for the bike and was open to trades, thusly me offering my truck for his bike and ~$7k. Through multiple emails, he was under the impression that I was going to trade him my truck AND pay him $7k, for his $7k motorcycle.....

 

I'd take that deal! WOW lol

I'd love to say change the return policy and have a restock fee at STG's discretion , but I know the hassle free no restock fee helps drive business. Its a double edge sword.

 

You should also occasionally only sell the box. Like people on Ebay selling an empty box for xbox 1 etc....

Our customer base has a very low percentage of snow flakes. To be fair we do not have an avalanche of stupid to manage day in and day out. With that said I would love to spend a day in Revzilla's customer service department.

I deal with all the stupid I can handle with just walk in customers and phone calls. The internet stooopid must be of the charts.

 

Lol. These stupid people create benefits for others though, in some cases. Like calling a plumber because the faucet handle is loose. Lots of money can be made but, lost also, as in STG's case.
