Ramming each other off the track is way way less common at amateur levels. i raced a few local MX series a couple summers back and in my age class (vet 30) everyone is pretty decent to each other. we all have to work monday...
Not sure if others have followed the off season but Weston Peick had a huge crash in France and got hit in the head by another rider/bike. Massive facial injuries and lots of surgeries and rehab. Always liked to watch him race and his attitude and will miss him being on the starting line this year. Was hoping that this year would see some better results for his efforts. https://www.instagram.com/westonpeick/
Atlanta 2015 was his last win. 3.5 seasons... pretty long time but i'll give him some credit for still racing and making main events.
To Quote Eric Clapton: "The rain is falling through the mist of sorrow that surrounded me The sun could never thaw away the bliss that lays around me Let it rain, let it rain, Let your love rain down on me Let it rain, let it rain, Let it rain, rain, rain" Top 4 qualifiers were all 'surprises' to most who might have been picking it.
From what I read Emig stepped down to run a moto school at Fox Raceway in Pala CA. https://www.instagram.com/learntomoto/ Not sure how valid that info is, or if he was forced out for whatever reason (probably $)
I was under the impression he got tired of Shit heel setting him up with the dumbest comments and questions to make & respond to multiple times every broadcast. Few times during the '17 season you could almost see the pain on his face.
I really don't know how Shaheen keeps that job. His constant yelling is painful enough, then all the absolutely idiotic comments. And now they don't even show the monster girls. Lame.
I didn't watch the highlights yet but... 450 1. Barcia 2. Roczen 3. Tomac I checked timing & scoring at lap3 and Wilson was leading, with Stewart and Barcia chasing. Did Barcia (Bam Bam) catapult those guys off the track and check out?
I'm not gonna lie, Shout-heen doesn't get any easier to listen to even after all these years....I wish they would've shit-canned him instead.
Nope, Stewart was challenging Wilson for the lead when he slid out. Wilson just faded as the race went along. It was raining heavily the entire race I'm surprised racers could see where they were going, due to mud
Super bummed. Never ever seen Malcolm that close to a win. Those two massive jumps in the rain took big nuts! Just lost the rear... still a great finish for him.
