I dunno, some of those cube things with the wacky half wrap around rear window are contenders for the ugly award.
That's only because you could legitimately answer the question of what you drove with " I drive a vette….baby."
The first three family cars I drove: 1959 VW Beetle convertible 1968 Chevelle 6cyl 1972 Chevette All had stick shift. The Chevelle was cool, especially when I could blow away a 396 block one because I knew how to launch with the manual. The other two were less impressive, but they got me where I needed to go.
I bet that 59 was badass. My first car was a 69. Two tone velour seats, shag carpet, 8 track, 60s all the way around, and a stinger pipe. Oh, and no heat lol.
My best friend in hs had a yellow pinto.We rode in this baby doll like pimps. We use to jump terraces in the church graveyard in it,and 4 wheel the powelines in it as well. It hydroplaned one day and was tragically killed in a road accident,no one was hurt,but it was a sad day.
The italians have their day in court too. In a trip in Austria long ago, the rental company rented us two of these for the week. It was functional as hell inside but we kept a low profile while driving. Like "below the window line" low profile...
