Ok, I was waiting for her to be right one more time to have this discussion...and she just did it. Here's AOC's #2 of being right. Now, a bigger discussion of what she actually represents instead of just how damn stupid she is.

There is something that I actually like about her...hell I even like the same thing about Bernie and that is that they are not part of the swamp. They are hopelessly idealistic and have a mental disorder (socialism/progressivism/liberalism), but they do work against the swamp and that ideal is shared by Orange Man Bad so I do like this.

She is coming in hot and heavy with a shitload of energy and she's already rocking the boat. Her trajectory takes her to one of two outcomes. Either she is brought in line and becomes a swamp creature (most likely), or she is destroyed and pushed out. I don't think she can handle fighting for too long due to her insanely low IQ, but watching this play out will be fun.

Fighting the swamp ain't for the weak or dumb. Trump is the right man for POTUS because the guy is a smart fighter and can handle the TDS idiots. But there aren't many that can do that.

What do you guys think? Do you enjoy seeing the boat get rocked even if it's a dumbass young communist?

Bernie is firmly submerged in the swamp. If he wasn't before, he became so the second he endorsed Hillary.

Kind of like a crazy hot chick cleaning her gun. You know you should leave but....

Admire her idealism at your own peril. As demonstrated by Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Chavez, Castro and Gaevera. Idealism can be fatal.

It does not include her, some animals are more equal. Besides she will just embezzle some of her campaign stash.

She got that one right. I'm still waiting for Trump to suggest term limits for senators and congressmen. Seems this is one place someone so "idealistic" could extend an olive branch to Trump with. That's something I see both sides whole heartedly agreeing on. Every American I know wants that and anyone who voted against it would be shown a swamp creature, no matter which side of the isle they were on.

The people's political representation shouldn't be a job nor a career. It should be a willing sacrifice as duty to country and fellow citizen...no salary.

    https://www.cnn.com/2016/02/08/politics/new-hampshire-state-representatives/index.html

Concord, New Hampshire (CNN)New Hampshire's role in the presidential primary is arguably the most important due to the state's first-in-the-nation status. But New Hampshire residents' role in state and local leadership, run mostly by volunteers, is what really sets Granite State politics apart.

The 400-member New Hampshire House of Representatives is the third largest governmental body in the English-speaking world, after the U.K. House of Commons, at 650 members, and the U.S. House of Representatives, which has 435 seats. Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie has joked on the campaign trail that he routinely runs into three current or four former state representatives.
"You guys trip over state reps every four miles," said the New Jersey governor.

While other -- often much larger -- states have voted to keep their number of representatives in the 100 person range, New Hampshire has gone the other way. In 1942, a constitutional amendment limited the size of the House to 400 but not less than 375 members.
That is one representative for every 3,300 to 3,500 people in a state with a population of about 1.3 million. A candidate can win a state House seat with about 1,200 to 1,500 votes, said Andrew Smith, Director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. "It is very unique."
State representatives in New Hampshire are often retired, students or those who can afford to make the two-year time commitment, which is demanding given the pay: only a $100 a year.

What the hell is "furloughed" pay? Do they back pay retroactive to the shutdown? I say, no work = no pay. I'm OK with 25% of the government being laid off....they should make it permanent and call it a good start. Shit can another 25% and we might actually have a chance. If this goes on for a couple of weeks or a month, stop and evaluate what the actual consequences were....not the contrived shit that will done to make the MSNBC headline...the actual impact. I'll bet it's minor. Keep essential services like military and police and let the EPA, FDA, XXX blow in the wind..... time for another martini...

I agree up to a point.

No furlough. If there is no budget, the decision makers get no pay. Furlough is for those who cannot work due to the decision makers not doing their jobs, not those who decide they don't want to do the job.

I fail to see why anything should be closed since we know they will pay everybody retroactively
when the budget is approved. Having them stay home just rips off the taxpayers one more time.
