I rented the newer Mission Impossible movie tonight and before it started there was an intro with Cruise and some other dude telling everyone to turn their stupid motion smoothing shit off their tv. I'm happy to see someone telling people dumb enough to watch movies without turning this off how it's ruining how you watch a movie.
I'm so glad prominent directors are pushing to change this tactic by manufacturers. Can't count how many times I've been to folks houses and mentioned the setting to them, fixed it for them, and they're like "I've always wondered why our TV looked so funny." It really is the most aggravating thing when trying to watch a movie, and it's obscene how companies make it so entirely difficult to turn it off sometimes.
The new MI movie was actually pretty good.. even though I find it hard to stomach Tom. Dude was the bees knees in the 80's and 90's then got full on wacko.
Someone should tell Tom that no level of changing the picture settings is going to make this a good movie.
