Ass. I have never been a "maxing out" kind of guy. After doing 365 x 4 unassisted, the guy I worked out with wanted me to do a 1-rep max. He figured if I concentrated on simply going heavy and changed my form a little (he was a Powerlifter), I could reach 400. But I had no reason or motivation to do so. Ive never really cared about maxing out.
Why he wanted so badly to impress some dudes on an inter webs forum, I don’t know. He was amusing though.
