Love that they're getting into the bespoke, coach-built arena with this 935 "Moby-Dick" replica. GT2RS underpinnings (700HP), 77 units @ $800K+ a pop.
You damn right it's limited. No cup holder, no back seat. Just a shiny dick with two chairs in it. I guess we the balls just draggin' the fuck along.
My understanding is that it isn't legal for any current race series though. Maybe one or two millionaires will make it a track day toy but most will just sit and collect dust. A shame really.
Maybe not a moby dick 935, but I'd rather have a street legal slant nose. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1987-porsche-911-turbo-33/
That's what coachbuilding is. No different than what Ferrari has been doing for years, especially with their one-off 458 variants, of which there have been many......
I guess if you need to make up a billion dollars in fines and settlements from your VW group dieselgate issues then bringing it back in as $600k in profits from each of 77 cars is one way to go about it. Porsche, the company that hates car speculators so much, they keep building low production speculation ready cars for people to flip and make money on. Good plan PAG.
