I've used a vortex cap for 10 years with no issues. I admit that when things get really hot the cap requires some force to get it to release. I do like the cam lock feature.
THAT is impressive.. lol ! says used screw on cap for 10 years with no issue... instantly follows that statement with an issue that occurs with the cap, pretty much every time ya ride the bike (couldn't help myself)
Great now we're going to start having to safety wiring fuel caps on... Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Damn little mickey mouseass keyboard. I meant www.sportbiketrackgear.com In addition to getting quality parts with good customer service, you will be supporting a vendor that supports our sport. IMO that is worth the little extra money vs cheapass eBay shit.
I'm about as cheap as anyone, but after losing a couple of trackday sessions trying to get my cheap ass ebay cap to quit leaking, I can no longer endorse knockoffs.
Lipstick on a pig and all that... I put a nice TWM on my dented and scratched 2003 R1 tank. It is working fine so far.
I never had issues with any of my caps... Tighten them up you bunch of Pansies!!!! Just don't leave them on the Gas Pump and pull away if your bike is in the back of a truck....... Did that going to Barber one weekend....
I have never once had a rider with a stock cap come ask us to have the corner workers look for the gas cap they lost....
Some weekends where we have half a dozen people lose them I sure do consider outlawing removable caps.
I thought you were joking so I looked up the rules. I guess I've been out here in the AFM too long - safety wire is required on removable caps. I have a long pigtail on mine. It can be unscrewed but it won't let it fly away.
I’ve used aftermarket screw caps on about 12 different bikes, not once had a single problem with any of them. How are these problems occurring? Not getting them tight enough?
