Mongo,A belly pan question...

    Trying to get my supermoto ready for vir. I bought a cake pan that will fit my bike, it's aluminum, and about 3 inches deep.
    Is this sufficient? And if I secure it to the frame with clamps and zip ties is that sufficient also?

    You should be good if it completely covers the bottom of the engine and can hold at least a couple quarts of fluid since sumo's don't take almost a gallon of oil.

    You'd be pretty amazed at how little space 5 quarts takes up when spread out. Your pan sounds like it'll be fine. What the bike takes is a moot point as they all have other fluids in them besides oil. Saw a 125 belly pan do a great job catching fuel from a stuck carb...
