Dems already posturing that they are prepared to play hardball.
Nevermimd, they’ve been obstructing everything since Trump was elected.

Plus they have zero power. But they are going to play hardball. So awesome watching these nit wits having collected meltdown after meltdown. And now Kerry is interjecting himself into the discussion.

Be careful with the gloating. When the political tide swings too far and/or too fast in either direction there is always a backlash moving things back towards the middle. I don' think we are there yet, but we are getting closer.

I'm not sure about this. As long as the Dem's keep spouting their insanity the tide will continue to roll over them.

I don't see Roe vs Wade being overturned regardless of the hand wringing. I think a Trump appointee will be stronger on the 2nd amendment.

There is always push back regardless. Gotta make hay when you can. Get,as much as you can whenever you can. The liberals aren’t afraid to do this and have been doing this for years. I’m going to gloat while I can.

:stupid: Agree. Although they might allow some restrictions etc. Same with same sex marriage it’s too engrained and part of the culture at this time. In all honesty, neither areas should be changed IMO.

No matter what you will still be able to murder the unborn and buy guns. Those are not going anywhere

It won't be outright overturned, but states will pass new laws restricting access to abortions. The new SCOTUS will let more of them stand, so in some states it will get very hard to actually get an abortion. Texas is already pretty far down this road with the current SCOTUS limitations.

Funny how the LWN talking points always go straight to something thy isn't even being discussed, hasn't had a serious challenge and has no plans for a serious challenge.
The only mindless sheep discussing it are LWNs. But their propaganda arm must do their duty and force that talking point so their sheeple followers will believe it.

The fact is, the LWNs have stated multiple times their hatred for basic human rights and their plan to remove the most fundamental basic human right. This Justice selection has to disagree on all fronts with the extreme left and their hatred for human rights like the right to keep and bear arms. The new Justice must also disagree with the extremist viewpoint that outside third world laws have to be considered for judgements on Constitutionality of laws. That viewpoint in and of itself is treasonous and should have be addressed as such.

The absolute best selection would be a strict Constitutionalist with a libertarian small government tilt.

Part of the unfortunate side effect of new restrictions on abortion will be those that have the money to travel out of state will still get their abortions with little impact, but those who are too poor to travel out of state will pretty much not be able to get one. So in effect you will be outlawing abortions for the poor in those states. That doesn't sound like good policy to me.

As to the 2nd amendment, I haven't exactly been seeing decisions curtailing it coming from the SCOTUS in quite a while, so I don't think anything is really going to change on that.

Other social issues like freedom of Religious expression and rights based some of the new gender based stuff is where the new Justice might make a real difference.

I call BS. Most of the restrictions I've read about required nothing more than listening to alternatives and not allowing third trimester. That is not a ban for anyone.

And some of the gender based stuff has gone off the rails anyway.

I will never accept some nut job proclaiming that there is more than two genders.

Some of the things that have been tried including:

    https://www.aclutx.org/en/know-you-rights/abortion-in-texas

They will likely pass a similar laws with slightly different wording to see if they can get the new laws past the new SCOTUS.

I would be looking for Libertarian voters, not Democrat voters.
