I've had several sets of 1st gen preload caps & washers on order for 3 weeks.
Some of the caps have made it here but none of the washers.
I'm in pretty desperate need of 2 washers and really don't want to buy junk forks off e-bay.
Talking with Zoran, he thinks he has some but he's in Europe for the next couple of weeks.
I will buy them if you have or replace them if my ever arrive.

  2. What size are they?

SVbadguy I survived the Mt Course

I just used regular washers that fit. Nothing special about them other than the lack of a hole.

Must be some issue with Suzuki.
I called a few suppliers. Only 2 of them left in the US.
Finally talked to my suppliers manager, my order supposedly shipped today.

    swiest152 Zoran's headache

Suzuki has been lacking in the OEM parts department for the past year. Tough getting parts.

That sucks, the 1st gen forks are the same as all year Kawis . Hopefully I can buy Zoran's stock once he get's back.

I've been waiting on parts for my SV1000 for a while now myself, definitely been a hassle getting OEM parts.

In my case it's Suzuki's lack of inventory, and my supplier not being on top of responses .

I sent Eboz a couple sets of 1G caps a while back for a vintage project. He didn't use them, if he still has them - contact him and you can have them.

They shut down the ATL warehouse and shipped everything to PA and FL - where I'm guessing they have no clue where things are. Sad.

What's so special about the washers? Just so the cap doesn't sit directly on the preload spacer?

They're just thick flat washers with no holes.
Sourcing something like that would be a bit time consuming and I would probably have to buy in bulk.
Suzuki changed the 2nd gen to not require them .
