:-D Some retired old Australian come to mind? Crap he has been retired far longer. Brain fade. Must be that Ducati Alien..
Pedrosa wins races and takes away points from other riders so Marquez can win championships. He does his job and does it well. but I'd like to see him some place else for a year or two (like Suzuki).
I'd like to see Pedrosa move somewhere else too. Based solely on the fact that I still think he's got some good years left in him and would be interesting to see him on another brand. I've got massive respect for the guys who challenge themselves when they're on top of the world (best bike on the grid). Even if they have to tuck their tail and run back to momma.... Dani on a KTM would surely be interesting
Lorenzo and Pedrosa switch seats. Honda can keep their 100% Spanish lineage and Dani with his negative bodyweight/height on the Ducati will have the highest trap speeds at every track on the calendar
And he'd be like a litre bike newb at trackdays who just pulls the trigger and rockets by everybody on the straight only to run off in the corner cause he can't get it stopped and turned lol. Kidding obviously, but it would be fun to see the little fella on a Duc.
I would LOVE to see Pedrosa go over to KTM or Suzuki. I think he needs a fresh start and an environment where he isn't the bridesmaid. IMO he still has the talent and drive to win a title, but that's never going to happen as long as he's sharing the garage with Marquez.
The Dani that showed up to race in 2012 is still in there somewhere. He can fight for the title if a factory put all of their efforts behind him. Unfortunately, that time has come and gone at Repsol Honda.
I'm thinking Olivera has a line on a KTM, be that with Tech3 or wherever. Marky gets hurt and HRC would roll all its eggs for Dani. I don't see him going anywhere. I'd guess a 2 year contract though 2020 and then retirement.
The persistent rumor is Zarco and Pol Espargaro for the factory team and then Olivera and Binder go to the Tech 3 junior team. Pedrosa to KTM is more of a longshot/dream scenario, but I wonder how Red Bull would feel about him now that Marquez is officially off the market. Zarco may be the next best thing, but Pedrosa has proven that he knows how to develop a bike. Look at how many world championships Repsol Honda has collected with Pedrosa on the team!
