A friend of mine used to make his own. He bought a "water distiller" online. It was cool learning about it. He got some funny looks buying buggy fulls of sugar
Nope, plus it is illegal to produce in most states as well. That link near the beginning has all the state laws
Go to Home distiller. Read a ton. Then re read. Then buy, or download, some of the books they mention. Ask questions and re-read some things. Buy some equipment, especially enzymes they make it easier than dealing with having to use malt for conversion. Not that i would ever do anything illegal like make this stuff. I mean who even understands that mysterious, voodoo-esque, black art that is distilling. Nope, not me. Nuh uh. Never even thought of it.
I watched that episode I'm sure there is a lot of sensationalism in the show but how much tax revenue are the feds losing versus the budget they have to enforce the law (vehicles, electronics, personnel)? Seems like a zero sum game or since it involves the gov't probably a negative
I know folks that make "parts" That could possibly be used in such a manor. As far as making it. Some collage buddies tried to make one of my friends gran pappies recipe... The result.... See the gif above. I think a few steps were missed, but it would clean your paint brush...
Dont use one of those. The flow is very slow. They use brass fittings. Those can contain lead. That can leach out into the...ummm...distillate at that temperature and ummmm high "fire water" content. You can passivate the fittings and use one, but its dicey. read home distiller.
What part of the US are you from? I only have met a handful of folks that called a shopping cart a "buggy" and they were all from the same neck of the woods.
They call them buggies down here which was a big change moving from up north. I also had to re-learn how to ask someone for a carbonated soft drink, apparently a Coke covers a whole lot of flavors... I haven't converted to that one or the shopping cart.
