Climbing Squally. Typical stuff. Steep and everything is slick. Good times. Clear up to the Cherohala Skyway and back down a secret route. 3000' gain and loss. My home trails.
Working on mine right now, well taking a break. Fresh beast of a motor in it. New rads n hoses, plastics.
He did the regular 2 day clinic ($500) on Friday and Saturday. Sunday it was a more laid back 'ride along' ($75) with him for 4 hours. We rode all over the moto park doing fun stuff, but obviously his instruction was abbreviated. Afterward I took off solo again on the very technical singletrack there. He's a very friendly fellow that's a total blast to just ride with. One of my fondest days on the bike.
i can't wear one (well, won't). After 35+ years of riding dirt bikes, i tried one not long ago.. i was hitting my head on low hanging limbs and stuff (can't bend my neck down out of the way) and would have caused more damage than worth for woods riding/racing. IF i was only mx track riding ? i would consider trying one again, for mx .. but for offroad (enduro, harescrambles)? I have ridden too long without one to be used to the restrictions on moving my head around while dodging trees.
Quick 4 seconds of Graham Jarvis ripping up and cresting hill climb 144 at the Rockcrusher park in Hayesville nc. Looks smooth here cause no can typically climb it. There's 80 yards of seemingly near vertical technical just below.
The ole man climbing chit. After watching several failed attempts by classmates to clean this section of this half mile powerline climb.I was the first to climb it (besides Jarvis ha) I'm real close to 60 dammit! Love this stuff.
