I have a 2007 Honda CBR600RR. I noticed in the rule book that the brake caliper pins must also be wired in addition to the brake caliper bolts. On my bike they are recessed. What is the best way to wire and drill them? Or where can i get replacements that are pre drilled?
Doesn't say they have to be wired - says they have to be secured in a visible manner. Silicone works for that too. If you can get longer ones that are drilled small r-clips (used to come on them all stock) are legal too.
Pro Bolt USA does have replacements available that can be safety wired if you prefer. http://www.probolt-usa.com/stainless-caliper-pin-front-x4-race-spec-2sspinbp004r-4z1.html
Grind a small flat spot on the middle of the pin to make a place to start a safety wire hole. Drill with a 1/16" bit and wire to a covenient location.
those caliper pins were easy to wire. i drilled through the caliper body and through the head of the pin, then wired them together.
