The 2005 GSXR1000 wasn't exactly chopped liver. At the very least, I would put it on par with the 2006 MY. Are the dyno results in yet.
Haha shit. I actually meant to say 2005. I know that was the year of the new one. But mine was a 2006, so obviously that was the best one.
I gotta weigh my first gen ZX10 when I get home. I know it was one of the lightest liter bikes made. And the wheelbase of a 600.
I had one. Mine was around 415 lbs with half a tank ish. Was a street bike i put on the shipping scale at work.
It's what got me out of the dirt. Reading about exiting corners, sliding, with the front end in the air and both feet on the pegs! Oh, HELL yeah. I had to get one. I had to race one. Alas, the wheelie-ing exits were attributed to the 1100 and, being safety conscious, I went the WERA route vice CCS. No 1000s for novices, but that 750 (red/black) was still fantastic. No need...says right here it weighed 490lbs. Kawasaki ZX10
No doubt. That bike was a pig, with or w/o exhaust, and exhausts back then seem to have been made from schedule 40 fence pipe.
Their Road Test: 1st - Honda 2nd - Ducati 3rd - BMW 4th - Yamaha 5th - Suzuki 6th - Aprilia 7th - Kawasaki
By "road test", I assume that means the street riding portion? If that is the case, very interesting that the 1299 would be ranked that high. Usually people complain about the heat from the exhausts on the street.
Their road test consisted of riding in pouring rain in winter in Europe. I imagine the heat was welcome lol.
MCN are well known Ducati fan boys so the street test doesn't surprise me. I wouldn't put much weight into the track portion either
I actually think you are worse, than the local Harley guys, that think a Harley is the only real motorcycle.
